Abstract Submission


Abstract submission is closed 


Student Paper Competition


WNAR holds a student paper competition each year in conjunction with its annual conference. Winners of the Outstanding Paper Award (one each in written and oral categories) receive a certificate of recognition and a $500 cash prize.


All eligible entrants for both the 2021 and 2020 competition, receive free conference registration AND free registration for one of the short courses offered as part of this conference. Additional short course registrations will be invoiced separately.

April 19th, 2021 – Abstract submission deadline

May 14th, 2021 – Paper submission deadline

June 13th – 16th, 2021 – On-line oral presentations as part of the WNAR virtual meeting 


Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts should be submitted via email to the Student Paper Competition Committee Chair Laura Saba (wnar2021.student.comp@gmail.com). The abstract should follow the guidelines below:

  • Information for the corresponding author (i.e., the student information), which includes first and last name, email, affiliation, and current degree program.
  • Title of the abstract
  • Authors and Affiliations
  • Abstract body (maximum of 1200 characters)
