WNAR 2025 Elections
Email ballots will be sent out through OpaVote Monday December 2, 2024. The election will close at 11:59pm Pacific on Thursday December 12, 2024.
Candidate Information
WNAR is holding elections for positions taking office in January 2025. Information on candidates running for office are provided here.
Information about elected positions can be found in the WNAR Bylaws.
Candidates for President Elect
The elected individual will serve for a three-year term in 2025-2027, consisting of one year consecutively in each of the following positions: president-elect, president, and past-president.
The president-elect and past-president responsibilities includes some nomination duties, representing WNAR in Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS), and supporting the president. During the presidential term, the president serves as the principal executive officer of WNAR, with all those attendant duties.

Candidates for Representative-At-Large
Two Representatives-At-Large will be elected. Elected individuals will serve for three-year terms, 2025-2027, and will manage the business and affairs of WNAR at all times, and participate with the other elected officials in making decisions related to WNAR meetings and other WNAR-related activities, including voting when needed.

Candidate for Secretary
The elected individual will serve for a five year term 2025-2029. The Secretary shall serve as the secretary of the Regional Committee and other business meetings of the region, shall keep minutes and be the custodian of corporate records of WNAR. The Secretary give notices in accordance with the bylaws, will supervise maintenance of the membership list and correspondence with members. The Secretary will oversee distribution of ballots for election of officers and in general shall perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary.
